Phil Hellmuth is holding strong in Event#7: Seven Card Razz. The battle started at 2:30 pm PST and we’re sure it will be one for the books no matter what happens. This, after all, marks Hellmuth’s 50th final WSOP table, which is a remarkable feat all on its own, but it is also his 101st cash and could possibly bring him his 14th WSOP bracelet.
Vanessa Selbst certainly did not disappoint her rail. She won her third bracelet in Event #2: $25,000 Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold’em. Takes home a nice little paycheck of $871,148, but more importantly, the 29-year-old poker pro has now written her name in stone for the history books of the WSOP. If there was ever any doubt, she now has the distinct status as one of the best in the game today. She won her third bracelet in one of the toughest fields by squashing Jason Mo in a very long heads-up battle that took four days of poker action against 130 of the toughest players the game has to offer. Mo ends up with 2nd place and $538,308
